Forest Resources and Land Management
2 Credits/Two Blocks/One Semester
Fulfills one year of science credit

Forest Resources and Land Management is recommended for students planning to attend a two or four year college and major in a natural resource discipline. Students will spend a majority of time in the field studying the economic, ecological, and intrinsic values of forest resources including timber, water and soil, wildlife, and recreation. Classroom studies will include writing, presentations, and planning for fieldwork. Field projects include identification and data collection of the flora, fauna, and soils, and investigation of wetlands. Students will explore career opportunities via presentations by and cooperating field work with natural resource professionals.

School Calendar
StJA Advanced Dance students will once again receive personal instruction from John Gardner and Amanda McKerrow.
Thirteen students from the Kraerherwald Waldorf School in Stuttgart, Germany arrived to begin the second half of the eighth year of the Academy’s Global Connections Program.
The start of StJA’s new school year also marked the debut of new programs and courses, several administrative changes , and eight new teachers and staff.
Despite shrinking area elementary school enrollments and global economic uncertainty, StJA continues to exceed its own enrollment projections.
