Applied Technologies Center

Technical education courses are offered in nine different career areas. A student who is planning a concentration in a given career area should plan on taking two units in that field. A student who is seeking only an introduction to a specific field may take as few as one course.

Some courses do not measure a student’s performance by grades. They measure a student’s competence in a particular subject area (competency based assessment) and report the appropriate amount of credit earned during the semester.
